Using Your Voice

Your vote counts

Calling all Prosumers,

There are many things happening in government today. Whether you like what is happening or not, the only way to have a voice is to vote. Many times we feel acted upon or if we have no voice in what happens to us or to our world. As we gain in all our recovery, we must use our voices to ensure our world is a better place, a safer place, a more just place.

A Prosumer and a friend of mine wrote this editorial and it truly speaks to what recovery and a living a full life means. I asked for her permission to print this and she agreed. Thank you Carolyn for your wisdom.

The most important thing we can do now, and the only way to have a voice in what's going on, is to vote. I am going to make sure that I get that vote in so I'm voting early, on October 22nd. What if, on Election Day I'm not feeling well, or it's flooding, or my car won't start, or I finally have that nervous breakdown I can feel coming on. I'm taking no chances!

Also:

Please don't fail to vote. Don't let bad weather, or not feeling good, or "I have too much to do", or "I'll vote tomorrow", or, the worst one of all, "My vote won't count so why bother" stop you. Get up, go out to the car or get on a bus, get to the polls and VOTE. Your vote is your voice, your voice is important so use it. Please!

It's guaranteed that the only time your vote really doesn't count is when you don't cast it. It's true that your candidate might not win, but that didn't mean you didn't have a say. VOTE. Please

Well said Carolyn, well said!!
